Vangelis Trigas – 2 Instrumentals for the three – string bouzouki
This has been my first CD release on December 2004 and originated quite a turbulence at the time, among bouzouki circles. If I am allowed to bring out the general impressions of this CD release, I could say that in these instrumentals, which were my first compositions, the audience distinguished for the first time the classical sound of bouzouki combined with new technical and personal expressional assets which define my personal style.
On the other hand, the virtuosity required in these pieces, brought out the potentials of the three-string bouzouki and proved wrong the view that suggested that the three-string bouzouki is limited compared to the four-string.
As expected, the instrumentals in this CD are now a case study for many students but mostly for virtuosos.
I decided to write down these instrumentals in music sheets and in full detail as performed by me in the CD, in order to satisfy the need of many fellow bouzouki players. The technical instructions that accompany the music sheets are suitable for three string and four string bouzouki and offer great help to those who wish to learn them.
The completion of this book was a long lasting and demanding procedure. I dedicate it to all my friends, those who I know and those I do not, as a minimum in return for the love and support in which they have embraced my efforts all these years.
